Hey everyone, it is John, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a special dish, dad's chili. One of my favorites. This time, I’m gonna make it a bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Dad's Chili is one of the most well liked of recent trending meals on earth. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. Dad's Chili is something which I have loved my whole life. They are fine and they look fantastic.

To a large stock/soup pot over low heat add beans, green chilis, and tomatoes. Add onion and jalapeno when tender to pot and add meat when brown. Add chili powder, garlic, and cumin. A combination of ground beef and pork is simmered with tomatoes, pinto beans, bell peppers, and onion in this meaty chili.

The ingredients needed to make Dad's Chili:
  1. Make ready skillet
  2. Take 1 lb ground chuck
  3. Prepare 1 can black beans
  4. Get 1 can red beans
  5. Take 1 can chili ready tomatos
  6. Take 1 medium diced onion
  7. Take 1 envelope chili mix
  8. Make ready 1/2 can beer
  9. Get 1 mashed potatos, saltines or oyster crackers

Mix beef and sausage into bean mixture; season with cumin, garlic salt, and chili powder. Dad's Favorite Chili is a classic chili recipe that is loaded with flavor! It is full of ground beef, pinto and kidney beans, some fresh veggies and classic chili seasonings. Steps to make Dad's Chili:
  1. Cook ground chuck in large skillet with 2/3 cup if water till done and most of water has evaporated.
  2. Add black beans, tomatos and onions.
  3. Add chili mix and stir to combine.
  4. Let simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Add beer and let simmer fir another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve over bed of taters or crackers (whichever you prefer) and spinkle raw onions and cheese on top.

Turn to Food to Boost Your Mood

For the most part, people have been conditioned to think that “comfort” foods are bad for the body and should be avoided. Often, if your comfort food is essentially candy or other junk foods, this holds true. Otherwise, comfort foods could be extremely nourishing and good for you. Make a trail mixout of various seeds and nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etcetera are all wonderful for raising your mood. This is possible since these foods are high in magnesium which raises serotonin production. Serotonin is a feel-good chemical that directs the brain how to feel at any given point in time. The more you have of it, the happier you will feel. Not just that but nuts, in particular, are a terrific source of protein.

Cold water fish are excellent if you wish to be in a better mood. Tuna, trout, mackerel, herring and wild salmon are all high in omega-3 fats and DHA. Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that really help the grey matter in your brain run a lot better. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can seriously raise your mood.

It’s easy to overcome your bad mood when you are eating grains. Barley, quinoa, millet, teff, etc are all excellent for helping you feel better. They help you feel full also which can actually help to improve your mood. Feeling starved can be awful! These grains can help your mood elevate as it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps jumpstart a rise in your blood glucose which in turn takes your mood to a happier place.

Your mood could really be helped by green tea. You knew it had to be in here somewhere, right? Green tea is rich in an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies prove that this specific amino acid can actually induce brain waves. This helps improve your mental energy while at the same time making the rest of your body more relaxed. You probably already knew it is not hard to get healthy when you drink green tea. Now you are aware that it helps you to elevate your moods as well!

So you see, you don’t need to stuff your face with junk food when you wish to feel better! Try a few of these instead!
