- Prepare 1 block Tofu (firm)

Steps to make Tofu Steak with Sublime Maitake Mushroom Sauce:
- Wrap the tofu in paper towels, drain in a sieve (about 10 minutes), and slice lengthwise in half. Wrap loosely in fresh kitchen paper towels.
- Shred the maitake mushrooms into large-ish clumps. Finely julienne the ginger. Combine the ◎ ingredients (the sauce is on the strong side so adjust taste).
- Coat the tofu with katakuriko. Heat a pan with a generous amount of oil and fry the tofu until golden brown (make sure to cook the tofu as soon as you've coated in katakuriko!)
- When the tofu are well browned, push to the side of the pan. Add the maitake mushrooms and stir fry briefly. Turn off the heat to cool down the pan a little.
- When the pan has cooled slightly, turn the heat back to medium, add the ginger and combined sauce ingredients and cook briefly. (Take care not to let the sauce reduce too much or it'll become too salty.)
- When the maitake mushrooms and tofu are well coated with the sauce, put on serving plates, and it's done. This dish really gets your appetite going.
Sprinkle salt and white pepper as you like. When the sauce is ready, put the corn starch in. Sprinkle the green onion on top of the mushroom sauce. Result: Lightly dredge the tofu pieces in the cornstarch and place in the hot pan. Tofu Steak is not a traditional Korean dish, but a recipe that has been trending lately among home-cooks in Korea.

Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that truly help the grey matter in your brain function a lot better. It’s the truth: eating tuna fish sandwiches can actually help you battle your depression.
Some grains are actually wonderful for fighting off bad moods. Quinoa, barley, millet, etc are fantastic at helping you feel happier. These grains fill you up better and that can help improve your moods also. Feeling famished can actually make you feel terrible! These grains can improve your mood because it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. You digest these grains more quickly than other foods which can help promote your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel more pleasant, mood wise.
Green tea is excellent for moods. You knew it had to be mentioned in this article, right? Green tea is high in a particular amino acid referred to as L-theanine.
