Steps to make Mizu-Yokan (Sweetened and Jellied Bean Paste):
- Put the water in a small pot, sprinkle in the powdered kanten, and heat over medium heat.
- Gently stir with a wooden spatula to dissolve the powdered kanten. Be careful not to boil it.
- Remove from the heat, and add the anko in 3 batches.
- Mix well with the wooden spatula after each addition.
- Turn the heat on low, and mix well from the bottom of the pot until there are no lumps in the mixture.
- Turn off the heat, and place the bottom of the pot in iced water.
- Cool the mixture until it thickens a little.
- Lightly wet a plastic container or a mold, pour the mixture from Step 7 into it, and leave in the fridge for about 1 hour to set.
- Once it's set, remove from the fridge. Insert a knife along the sides of the container to loosen.
- Flip over the container to release the mizu-yokan.
- Cut into desired sizes. It's done!

Some grains are really great for driving away bad moods. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all really excellent for helping raise your happiness levels. These foods can help you feel full for longer as well, helping you feel better. Feeling starved can truly make you feel awful! These grains can improve your mood since it’s easy for your body to digest them. You digest these grains more quickly than other things which can help boost your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel better, mood wise.
Green tea is truly excellent for your mood. You knew it had to be mentioned in this article, right? Green tea is loaded with an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies have found that this amino acid basically induces brain waves. This will better your brain’s concentration while also relaxing the rest of your body.
